APDU is welcoming proposals for the 2024 Annual Conference: Unlocking the Potential of Public Data . Public data reflect our similarities and differences, showing how our lives, towns, neighborhoods and economic conditions are changing over time. Join us to discuss how data are revealing these trends.
Share your research methods and results, and contribute to conversations about:
- What constitutes public data
- Data access challenges and successes
- Uses of administrative and survey data
- Communicating results to a range of audiences
- … and more
Submit proposals for a presentation, a lightning talk, or a panel discussion to info@apdu.org
Be sure to include the following:
- Your name and the name of any co-authors
- Your organization
- Type of submission – presentation, a lightning talk, or a panel
- Title of your submission
- Synopsis (250 word limit for presentation or lightning talk, 750 word limit for panel)
Presentations will be grouped by the conference committee into thematically related areas. Each presenter will be given 10-15 minutes to share their work, and each session will reserve time for audience Q&A. Proposals submitted for consideration as presentations will be considered for lightning talks (250 word limit).
Lightning presentations will feature a group of speakers, each sharing their work in 5 minutes using only one slide. The presentation should focus mainly on results and impact or novelty of the findings (250 word limit).
Panel discussions include 2-4 presentations. Submissions should propose a title and theme for the session and include brief summaries for each anticipated panelist. (750 word limit)
All abstracts will be evaluated by the conference committee based on the quality of work, relevance to APDU Conference attendees, uniqueness of topic and presenter, and thematic fit.
Deadline: 11:59PM ET, Monday, April 15, 2024. Accepted submissions will be notified in early May.
