The Office of Research, Evaluation, and Statistics of the Social Security Administration is a principal Federal source of labor, health, economic, and current demographic statistics. It conducts broad analyses of major social and economic trends and their impact on social insurance policies. SSA also collects, organizes, and publishes data on the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (OASDI) program; the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs and their beneficiary populations; and earnings for people in employment covered under Social Security and Medicare.
