As the nation experiences significant changes in demographic circumstances and economic conditions, federal data are critical for tracking trends and framing issues and opportunities. The 2008 APDU conference at the Brookings Institution provided a unique forum for data users, producers, and intermediaries to learn about and discuss federal data programs, policies, tools, and uses.
